Thrust Your Fist into the Wound in Religions’ Side:  the Out of Tune Accordion Knot

Modern poetry modern verse contemporary poetry contemporary verse modern poem contemporary poem

That souls do not exist, that soul does not

Exist is crucial.  Instituting truth

Is wonky-wise impossible.  The knot

Produced by falsity will be uncouth

Forever till we jettison the load

Of lies entangled with each other in

That one Big Lie.  Since all religions’ road

Is paved with soul, Soul, SOUL, the greatest sin

Is swallowing and then believing SOUL

And souls are real, that they are actual.

This doctrine hunkers at the farthest pole

From truth.  Soul never has been factual.

  Since all religions bloviate about

“The Soul,” that teaches us to deeply doubt.
