When cherries bloom around the Basin, wings

Are in the air and on the water, but

The tourists do not see them.  iPhone pings

Are heard among the selfie blossoms, glut

Of beauty notwithstanding.  Gliding geese

Remain unnoticed since the camera’d face

Alone is captured, though a cornered piece

Of perfect petals managed in their grace

To sneak themselves in pictures anyhow

Despite the carelessness of shutter guys

And gals.  The beauties spread along the bough

Are missed by cell phone obsessional eyes.

The pudgy portraits of the iPhone age

Are all that matter in this April age.
