He Has a Hidden Argo and Not in Monaco

‘‘Without going out of his door, he [the sage] knows everything in the world; without looking out of his window, he knows the Way of Heaven. The farther we go, the less we learn.’’ ~ Roshi
He keeps venetian blinds in front of him
Closed down. He keeps the curtains closed inside
His bedroom. Sounds are not required. No hymn
Is needed. White raw silk and beauty’s bride
Aren’t necessary. Paths of asphalt, streets
And roads all paved with asphalt are not for
His mind. He walks on poems. Fresh white sheets
Of paper help his meditations soar
To elegy, the sonnet, villanelles
And other true form beauty are the space
He travels in and on. He needs no spells
Of drugs to win his metered, rhyming race.
He has his mind, imagination, thought
And inner inspiration for his yacht.
