The Death of Impurities

1 Kings 19:12

When you accept the facts, the one true God

Appears.  You think that he is hidden, then

Wide God evinces truth.  Religions flawed

Are gullible.  They guide religious men

To things that don’t exist like spirit, soul

And absolutes, though science has not found

The proof of these.  The North Star as a scroll

To show your pathway never can expound

In metaphysics rich epiphanies,

Though platinum on gold.  The trying fire

At most perhaps discerns antiphonies

But not eternity, its long desire.

  You turn a desert corner and right there

    Sense burning bush or voice against despair.
