Knights, Queens and Pawns Carved from Walrus Tusk Beneath Green and Lavender Skies

Dimensions of your life push like those chess

Boards stacked in three dimension or perhaps

More, even more.  Or you should reassess

The game.  The pieces on the board lack maps

And, worse, the pieces are from many games,

Monopoly and checkers and roulette,

And other wide horizons lacking names,

From planets never flawed by minaret.

Unless you know the rules combined for all

These tournaments, their levels and domains,

Fear challenges your soul may have to crawl

Through, past tornadoes and through hurricanes.

Perhaps the rules are different in the snows

Of Arctic winters with auroras’ glows.
