Separated Identical Conjoined Twins

Separated Identical Conjoined Twins

Modern poetry modern verse contemporary poetry contemporary verse modern poem contemporary poem

The difficulty is that that one shore

Does not allow out dreaming to go on,

That shore, that Coast Undreaming.  There no soar

Of seraph wings is known.  No solar dawn

Has ever wandered there.  No moon, not one

Has crossed its black horizon.  There no star

Appears in darkness, no cold orb, hot sun,

Gold galaxy arises.  Just one scar

Is levitating in lost heavens. Sky

Of skyless sky it hulks.  There only night

Awaits all specters, even those that fly

Beyond imagination and mere light.

The sister of this realm existed when

Vast nothing was and waits again for men.
