Loveliness Despite the Difficulty of the Long Word Logarithmic

Loveliness Despite the Difficulty of the Long Word Logarithmic

Modern poetry modern verse contemporary poetry contemporary verse modern poem contemporary poem

For he spake, and it was done; he commanded, and it stood vast and tiny

The spiral of the creature sailing through

The South Seas, waters made as if from stones

Like liquid turquoise, clearer, though, their blue,

Is loveliness supreme as if it owns

Conceptions of true beauty.  Patterns of

This perfect shape are shown throughout all times,

———Perhaps———eternity. ———Wherever———love———

Its concept———rises, its perfection chimes

With splendr, even in destructions’ shapes

Of hurricane and typhoon deaths.  The seeds

Of sunflowers are arranged behind the drapes

Concealing Christ fulfilling beauty’s needs.

The spiral of some galaxies points down

To patterns spread around, the cosmos’ crown.
