Nameless Blossoms Reign Supreme

“heard melodies are sweet, but those unheard are sweeter”
I wear real flowers he gave me in my head.
He bought them, really, in a pot beside
The road in Massachusetts. Now long dead
(Dead decades past) these petals long — inside
My atria and ventricles — in — chest,
No, not beside that highway long ago.
The little pot of petals has a nest
Inside me. There their being wants to grow
A lasting meaning, not just memory, not
Just lost in memory. Strongest purple with
A white-hued heart, each blossom pleads, “He bought
Me for your palm — for — long, — long — lasting myth.
Our myths are truer than sub-solar facts.
Male myths arise from manly loving acts.
