A Jive Petrushka Chord

Another Phillip could have had you; you,

Another Phillip, could have held you. In

His arms he could have taken you, the two

Of you as one if you had loved his sin,

As he desired your innocence.  A white

Of daisy, you, he could have eaten as

A Venus Flytrap swallows.  In a night

Of differences, not Bach, but jazz

Spooled out on saxophones, or searing drums,

The two of you could once have been two keys

Stravinski plays as one, the one that thrums

Against the other, both lift up our knees.

The clashing turns to harmony with him

And you transposed to one dissonant hymn.
