A painter moves a pink skinned pear inside
A still life scene and starts to paint again.
Another painting comes. Dress up the bride
In black and everything is changed. If pain
Is introduced in Eden, boredom dies.
Prometheus drags flame to men. A box
Is opened and Pandora’s evil flies.
A turtle dove is chomped down by God’s fox.
The gods are redesigned by Hindus. One
Becomes the core-like three. A Shiva sways
As death, destroyer. Life’s imploding sun
And universes turn to ice-doomed blaze.
We dream religions. Then they disappear.
The god inside a caveman fire craves fear.
