He opened up a gate more beautiful

Than New Jerusalem and Eden though

That opening destroyed the dutiful.

The view contained forbidden fruit. The glow

Was not of apples but of Adam’s hair,

The hidden hair, the hidden fruit, the juice

Of sinning unfulfilled.  A mango pair

Withheld in haired up skin implied a sluice

Of maleness God insisted was not free

To everyone as all the lusciousness

Of other fruits, those ones that other tree

Could offer, not his one deliciousness.

The serpent offered something other, lush

And masterful, the warmth of manly gush.
