The Truths of Unicorns

The truest unicorns exist without

Confusions caused by legs and manes of colts

Or stallions.  Creatures live in seas and sprout

Their spirals.  Creatures with these curve-carved bolts

Live not in forest of a tapestry.

Instead they live in forests corals make.

They live in gorgeousness of wave and sea,

A gorgeousness which makes the sea nymphs ache

With pain and pleasure causing them to yearn

For other underwater beauties like

The lucent mermen tails that cause the burn

Of nymphic hearts impaled by Cupid’s spike.

  In South Seas’ twisted triton’s shape adorns

    The ocean beds as strictest unicorns.
