Don didn’t know that there were people smart

And evil as a serpent in a tree

That grows in swamps.  He thought that his brief, tart,

Simplistic tweets he sends with hateful glee

At three a.m. from smartphone’s pad could change

The evil world and make it evil in

The way he wants to mould it.  It was strange

To him that he could not commit his sin,

His chosen sins, without an accolade

From everyone out there.  Don didn’t realize

That business savvy couldn’t make the grade

Where some are Machiavellian wise.

..The Tidal Basin twitters in pink bloom,

….Don thought, could never sing and make his doom.
