He met a man called Abhishek.  Although

Unlikelihoods of that were overcome

By Web-like wonder, life itself can throw

Improbabilities, a giant sum,

Throw web-like nets across the oceans.  Men

Are there, too, lonely on their ships, their slack,

Slow vessels waiting for a wide Amen.

Out there across the vastness waves of black

Night, driven currents, warm and ice-berg cold,

Chests yearn like mermen for a sun-merged song

Of lyrics, love and melodies of gold

For everywhere young men’s hearts long and long.

They long for love and passion, long and yearn

Their hearts know love strikes stormy and is stern.
