The Opposite of Rape

A mountain turns and sticks it peak, hard, down,

And burrows in the ground.  The action brings

No glow like lava.  It does not even bring a frown.

The earth gapes, calm.  A field of diamonds sings

Creation.  Eons are compressed to light

That waits for mining by black hands and picks.

The shine is clueless.  What it knows is bright

But accident.  Down there by River Styx

The gems are proof that evil causes good.

Their sparkle and their depth are what our need

Insists on.  God pulls on his darkling hood.

He does not need a priest to carve a creed.

..The jewels are formless forms.  We cut them, though,

….Because that proves a hungry faceted glow.
