The Cambridge Christmas Choir Trinity

The Cambridge Christmas Choir Trinity

The beauties vary.  One young man whose throat

Appears to have no voice box sings high

Inside the chapel.  Melodies devote

Themselves from him like angels in the sky

Above sopranos and the trebles.  He

Turns into miracles the beauty of

The ordinary, one divinity

Proceeding from his throat like Jesus’ love

Sent out through Adam’s apple there withheld.

A boy beside him in the choir has one

Stray curl that dangles on his forehead.  Meld

Their song with hair for perfect beauty spun.

..The faultless black-struck comets on the brow

….Of treble flawlessness make heaven bow.
