Saints and Aztecs and David Koresh

   David Koresh

Priests don’t try to prove the soul’s existence.

The faiths just preach it and presume that weak

Minds everywhere will bow. The insistence

Of all religions is that they can sneak

This lie as truth the way a pitcher’s curve

Ball cheats.  And billions have believed this guff.

Once fools have swallowed falsity, priests swerve

To scaring them with with further lies, enough

To make them give their offerings to church,

Or temple, or to mosque.  Because of “soul,”

The priests can make the mind and body lurch

And be enslaved in sacred priests’ control.

..A man is brought submissive altar-wise

….In marriage, or is carved by priests and dies.
