Orlando Sanford International Airport

Not just the eyes, but lashes too:  the young

One there behind the check-in desk has hearts-

Stopping eyes and lashes, black, highly strung

Sublimity of beauty to launch hard parts

Of anyone who yearns for grace, launched to

Heights higher than jet planes ever bounded

To conquer.  Then there is that twiced tattoo

Of elegance in kohl that’s confounded

All those who’ve seen them, the black, graceful brows.

They caused me hurt especially because

They forced me to recall my solemn vows

To love earlier eyebrows without pause,

Forever.  Those were yours of course, dear one,

Dark comets curved above a midnight sun.
