Though nature hovers in our minds and spans

The spaces far beyond the Hubble eye,

Though poetry, a telescope that scans

The universe,  can take us where souls fly,

And though religion stretches to embrace

Totality, these three will not suffice.

Yet if these three combine and then encase

Their offerings in the heart they might entice

It to epiphany.   A formal creed

Is not required.  Their mating generates

A clearer vision that all truths concede.

Their microscope reveals and elevates.

  Interiors of abalone shells

    Reveal this trio’s hidden parallels.
