Green stands for living; no, for life, for all
That life can offer, far beyond what minds
Can dream of. Green is like the cosmic caul
Of birthing. Green is more than that. It winds
Behind and through the brimming universe.
A cove implies the sea where green or blue
Command. The ocean isn’t ever terse.
It spreads out wide like all the things God knew
Before he made the sun, the stars and moons.
A cove implies all that and more because
The sea is stretched beyond it. They mean noons
And sunrise. These are widest cosmic laws.
..And springs? They utter innocence and hope.
….These wait for you. Hold out your hands and grope.
