Fullness in Concavity

Fullness in Concavity

Modern poetry modern verse contemporary poetry contemporary verse modern poem contemporary poem

It has handsomeness in grace, a grace

Receding and yet full.  It glares with flame,

A flame of blackness yet without a trace

Of smell’s apology, excuse or shame.

Instead this portion waves its darkness through

The cosmos like a royal bed of reeds

In Pharaoh’s Egypt or Ashoka’s slew

Of victory.  From its slopes his strength proceeds

In masculinity, away and out,

And towards his chest and face and swollen arm.

At once, all three, a triple, certain shout:

(195) This ONE Arm Fix Will Instantly Add Pace! ⚡ | Fast Bowling secret #thrivecricket #fastbowling – YouTube

This shout insists like cricket’s overarm.

This part is like romance’s double flare.

It makes a mockery of maidenhair.
