The Queen of Egypt, Cleopatra, won
The love of Roman rulers. Mythic in
Her force to ravish first the older one
And then seduce the younger man, this sin
Queen ended taking in a venom drug
Delivered by a serpent that she chose
To bring to her relief through bitten dug.
But her prodigious power was more like prose
Than poetry contrasted with the lore
Drugged Marilyn projected on the screen
And in the hearts of many, many men far more
Than any Greek, Egyptian, Roman queen.
..   Indeed, Elizabeth, the English star,
…… Won many hearts, far more than Cleo, far.
