The seraph has six wings, six angel wings.

They make a crippling weight so it is hard

To fly.  When God made up these angel things,

He didn’t think too well.  He made them marred.

That is, He stuck them where they should not be,

Two on one side, four stuck willy nilly.

But then of course Jehovah must be free

To do his thing, even if it’s silly.

Then complications multiply because

One pair with thunderbolts for feathers, fire

Another pair.  The others cover angel paws

Below (though this is code for sex, its mire).

  But why should seraphim desire to fly

    (No sex!)?  Just let them flop down soft and sigh.
