Christ in the Color of a Bend

Christ in the Color of a Bend

The scope of perfect yellows is displayed

Along the curves of tulip petals near

My door.  One tint is on the sweep arrayed

Across the tops of shell-like shapes.  The cheer

(When no severity can touch soft sleeves)

Is waving in the April breeze.  A gold-

Like hue runs up the edge where sadness grieves

Its banishment upon this bow of bold,

Bright velvet.  Best of all, the yellow on

The bulge of beauty in the center of

The petal is a satin, daybreak dawn

Struck there by sunlight beating warm like love.

..That all these lovelinesses find their place

….Here proves the radicality of grace.
