From school to school, from same to same, not same
In some, he lived with beauty, beauties not
The same. In one there was that one not tame,
Of beauty, beauty in perfection, hot
And beautiful, a beauty made for heat
Of tropics, cool in attitude and yet
Unknowing. Thus the beauty was complete
With torture, Great Rift Valley sexless sweat.
In China was perfection, beauty made
Of modesty and sweetness. He went slack
With love’s devotion. In the realm of jade
Love came as hard as blades with hair of black.
The schools themselves mean nothing. They swell

With beauties in the ways that angels fell.
