Perhaps I shouldn’t say cascading truth

To you.  Just now, though, love is all I grow,

Not best for you today alone in youth

But maybe best to ever make you glow.

Today no other person gives to you

What God would give (if God gives anything),

And I am not a god since I am true,

A quality no god can ever bring.

I do not have a prophet who can try

To train belief inside you.  In our days

Together I must show you how to fly

So you can resurrect our yesterdays.

From years of loving, you can then retain

My love when I have lost my unwed reign.
