Lucichrist
Modern poetry modern verse contemporary poetry contemporary verse modern poem contemporary poem
He spoke that single word to me and all
The universe was swallowed in a blink.
He spoke. All other words became a sprawl
And then I knew I had no need to think.
He said another word and all was changed.
What used to matter flew away to skies
Unbearable and skies unknown. Deranged
All skies became. The stars became black lies.
The third word that he said caused graves to crack.
A New Jerusalem discovered sin

And caused a righteous Lucifer to sack
Its walls with loving, his Siamese twin.
He knew the esoteric words, occult,
To make both saints and devils to exult.
