Rise high enough and you will be unseen.

Rise high enough and others will not know.

Your essence will be lodged behind the screen

Inside the sanctuary.  You will glow

Not like shekinah glory, but still shine.

Rise up on wings of meditation or

Of prayer.  Rise up and fill the pulsing shrine

With words or music made with heated ore,

The ore of evanescence that when high

Enough in hearts becomes a new shaped gold

That buried Christ has not imagined.  Fly

High, High, Highest.  Leave the other loves.  Scold

From peaks that loom far, far above the New

Jerusalem.  Find only empty blue.
