Commonsense, Centaurs

It stands to reason that if men become

Themselves, a fractionation will result.

The only way for unity is numb

Society.  Agreement will insult

The purpose of a man.  Why bother with

Essential masculinity if what

We want is maleness purified like myth?

We want a basic beast, his tethers cut

By him, not by us others, no; yes, by

The man himself.  We do not want a boy

Whose mother has imposed the rule, “Don’t try”

On him.  We do not want her to destroy

That part of him that needs to pound its way

To utterness.  Let that part buck and neigh.
