Women Have a Dream

ROSA PARKS
A woman takes a seat inside a bus —
And she’s arrested for that black stain crime.
She lives where “colored” people cause a fuss

TYE LEUNG SCHULZE
If they take actions towards a noble time
When everyone can vote — and not just men —
When even black men have the right to make
Their mark upon a ballot . . . and then when
White women and black women have a stake
Inside the dream America has dreamed.
Millennia went past when only rich
And Strong Men, lords, the richest could be deemed
To have the right to pull on power’s switch.
The women of the world have fought this fact.
They show that changes come when women act.
