“Singing is a lover’s thing.” ~ Saint Augustine
A face more beautiful than choiring songs,
More beautiful than singing in the choir,
A beauty that a wish in reverence longs
For fills the heart with solemnized desire
Cathedral lighting made intense,
And then, and then the lips in pink reveal
Another moving pink which shakes, intense,
Inside the chest this fleshly seventh seal,
A revelation straight from heaven’s thrones,
From where archangels open up their notes
And send them out through angel lips in tones

For Christ. This tongue its softest beauty floats.
It floats out carol beauty, moving pink
Like God’s perfection, Revelation’s brink.
“The atmosphere ONLY responds to those who live the song and become the altar.” ~ Michael A. Dalton
