The Yum Under Wordsworth’s Words

The Yum Under Wordsworth’s Words

“Swallowing is nature’s quest.” ~ Phillip Whidden

The barley field is straight, its edges straight

And they are not.  Its rows are straight and not,

Not really.  Truth in nature is its hate

Of straightness, strictness.  Those are items sought

By man and sometimes, we are told, by God.

The truth is that S/He loves messiness.  At

Some levels, deep, are floating laws.  Not awed

By God, though, they get on with messy splat.

Light streaks straight but light is bent throughout messed

Things, water, air and prisms, and where light

Originates is messy at the best.

At worst those stars will gobble others, bite.

The living swallow other living things.

There never have been holy angel wings.

Black holes eating each other.
