The Measureless Rosary
Eternity has neither start nor end.
Eternity streams quite above, beyond.
It is as if unnumbered loopings bend
So start and finish have forever dawned

Together. DNA curves back upon
Itself, its Alpha and Omega one.
A snake whose mouth and fangs are drawn
Consuming both its tail and head crawls spun
By Fates, whose spinning wheel sends out
Snake threads with all beginnings and all ends.
From these millennia and eons spout.
A scissorless and senseless numbness blends.
The small things—life and death and God—are there.
Eternity prevents the hope in prayer.
