No dark divides the union of the world
With man and woman. Separation sighs
Away upon reflection. We are swirled
Together, we and cosmos. Stars, our eyes,
Are scattered by their trillions in our souls.
No reason for reunion is required
Since all is indivisible. The poles
Of us and them are just one pole, fused, fired,
Not North and South. Disseverings are none.
The beasts and we are all of one looped chain.

The nebulae and we together reign.
We all hear one small voice. That voice will thrill
Our links of being if we listen, still.
~ Phillip Whidden
When the stars threw down their spears
And water’d heaven with their tears:
Did he smile his work to see?
Did he who made the Lamb make thee? ~ William Blake, “The Tyger”
