The Kiss in His Light Blue Eyes

The Kiss in His Light Blue Eyes

“I change not”

That kiss remains in memory, crimson, live

Like marrow in the rib that’s nearest to

Heart’s atria once inner organs sieve

Life’s poisons out so anything dark blue

Is cleansed away.  That kiss remains throughout

Six decades . . ., sixty years . . ., and . . . more . . ., if strength

Of life goes on.  Sometimes these memories pout,

But . . . they . . . recall . . ., remember . . ., full . . ., at . . . length . . .

Like manhood’s flesh . . . stretched . . ., hard and thick with throb.

Veiled blue of veins of penis cannot change

Since they are true.  This memory will not sob

Because it knows the breadth of loving’s range.

Beneath some hard-barked pine trees that kiss still

    Remains . . . . A silent wound remains . . . . hiss still.
