“root and all” ~ Alfred Lord Tennyson
If you can see a perfect orange bloom,
As most such blossoms are, and see them on
Their darkling orange branch, and see the room
Around them, in their grove at dusk or dawn,
Or in the plainest sun-filled noon, then feel
Your way to thought, if thinking is your thing,
Your knowledge of the cosmos reaches real

Existence. You will never need the wing
Of mysticism. It is trumped up truth
And not the truth. You do not need a guide.
You do not need a Buddha super sleuth.
Your thinking is colossus in full stride.
That petaled object works its perfect will
Without philosophy and waits there, still.
