Omitting Divinities

 Omitting Divinities

So  . . . what if we omitted God, that He

Or She (whatever)?  What if we should build

A temple dedicated to a ski

Slope?  Maybe we could opt to shape and gild

Cathedrals to philosophy (because

That’s what the Hindus do), well, yes, except

They ruin it by making gods with paws

Of monkeys.  Priests are much too much adept

At elephant divinities and dumb

Ideas with skin too blue, the bluest blue

Beyond Surrealism’s softest hum,

Ignoring what we know is truest true.

Let’s build an igloo church to ice and snow

And let it help our hearts and minds to glow.

Microsoft Bing’s image generator failed disgustingly to produce the image I gave clear instructions for.  You’ll have to make do with this mucked up image by Bing.  Sorry.
