We know that no thing can be “fair or good

Alone.”  The Star of Africa when set

In darkness in the deepest mine shaft would

Be worthless there, but in a gold duet

With scepter of a British queen the gem

Becomes invaluable, a priceless thing,

As nearly priceless as Christ’s healing hem,

Or priceless as a gold archangel’s wing.

Miss Universe, Apasra, on her throne,

Is worthless till we see her in the flesh.

We worship then.  When she is not alone,

We know that beauty can be ever fresh.

Two entities will always be required

(At least).  True beauty has to be desired.
