I read that Jacqueline took money from

Onassis for her clothes as part of her

A Look Back at Jackie Kennedy and Aristotle Onassis’s Wedding

Arrangements for their marriage.  But the thrum

Of money was too much for her.  The purr

Of dollars made her make another plan.

She used that money to buy haute couture

Ensembles.  Jackie took them to the clan

Of clothes resellers.  There she found cure

(A partial cure) for endless greed since there

What she had paid ten thousand for then made

A larger price since clothes from her.  The blare

Of profit brought much more than she had paid.

  Her greediness brought on stupidity

    Of women swelling her cupidity.
