Life, Love and Faith

Modern poetry modern verse contemporary poetry contemporary verse modern poem contemporary poem

To make a point of living is to miss

The point.  Just live and live.  Just love and love.

Those make the points.  Just live to give that kiss,

Lips, tongue as one, since that is far above

The making of a point in life.  Just make

Hallucinogenic polka dots in

How living goes, an LSDish cake

Of life with lovely Braille-like dots in sin,

In nubbles on the breasts your fingers touch.

That loving and that living hypnotize

And that hypnosis is the best.  That much

You know, and if you don’t, you need new eyes.

You need the kind of eyes that see what’s true,

Not what faiths say.  You need the truer true.
