Perhaps we should have been the Gemini

And not Aquarians.  Aquarians

Are watery at best up in the sky.

We should have both been harsh barbarians

Of love, the pair of us, the twins of lust

And not so much of brotherhood.  We might

Have been identical.  The thrust

Of perfect matching adoration with bite

Of  passion in the mixture, that is what

We could have fashioned frantically like teeth

That God made when ocean floors were hot

With swollen graspings groping underneath.
