Assign the fence to mockingbirds in love.
Assign the limb to nightingales and moons,
The sky to larks in spirals up above,
The blackbird’s vapored song to afternoons.
Their voices seem to come from anywhere
And not, from everywhere. Love’s voices sing

In melodies, insisting lover pair
And lover pair must be aligned with wing
And wing. How dull the colors…never mind.
In light and darkness love must throat its ways.
In light and darkness loves must be assigned.
The songs and loves will soar around in sways.
The patterns are forever to assign
In songs and loves. Forever is their shrine.
