A Christian Interpretation

The hurricane lifts up the poolside fence

And wrenches it to make a knot.  This twist

Is caused by spawned tornado.  Slim defense

Of loving God is formed, of course.  A fist

With nail prints in it isn’t on display.

The twister yanks the corner of the roof

Of next door neighbors. As the wind makes bray

 Of locomotive, wind soon stamps its hoof

Across the street.  The blast then kicks the house

There, lifting up the roof, the total weight

Of it, then flinging that as if a mouse

Across the field and settles to weight’s fate.

  A roof beam falls and breaks the back of wife

    And mother, but it didn’t take her life!
