A Gate at the End of the World

A Gate at the End of the World

Genesis 3:24

The first of gates that opened and then closed,

That gate which opens possibilities,

Is set by seraphim from Christ.  They posed

With sword and flame to thwart abilities.

The notion of a choice from freedom made

Was quashed.  The edges of the sword of fire

Forced Adam and his sons.  Forbidding blade

Was silent in its roar against desire,

Desire not riveted to slickness’ slit

And jiggling, slickest fruit, more slicked when pried

Apart my maleness seeking friction’s fit

But only when its sliminess was tried.

That gate when voltaged moans and flies apart,

A gaping neediness of conquered heart.
