Perhaps on Their Seven Hundredth Day Together and Apart

“God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.”  Genesis 1:27 KJV

We wonder if the first men stood up nude

Like later Greeks in Athens.  Did these three

(Cain, Abel, Adam), beauties never crude

But muscled, firm and hairy, ever see

Each other by the stream of Gihon stripped

For swimming, diving and cavorting in

The Land of Cush, three splendids as they slipped

Beneath the gushing waterfall of sin

Brought on by mother and by wife.  Did they

Get glimpses of God’s gorgeousness in each

The other when they watched beneath the spray

Of fall beside bright Eden’s sinful beach?

Did they see hips and thighs in sway of flesh

Back then when manliness was skin-sweet fresh?
