Forget the angel choirs in heaven.  They

Are like cicadas ever singing — drill —

Drill — DRILL— their fugue, but what they have to say

Bangs worse than boring.  Insect rantings spill

Across the nearby universe.  They do

Not care for beauty, not like J. S. Bach.

Cicadas send out endless zizzing spew.

They grate it out, their boringness a shock.

Perhaps cicadas sing a Sanctus song

Like angels and archangels, Raphael

And Gabriel their hymning ever long,

Their singing too like surname Baffiel.

We live in bafflement produced like curse ﷽,

Curse  ﷽,  CURSE,  ﷽,  its meaninglessnesses far more, worse.
