The Instant Merman Pulses with Passion

The Instant Merman Pulses with Passion

Modern poetry modern verse contemporary poetry contemporary verse modern poem contemporary poem

I saw you and my flesh began to glow

Beneath my skin.  I saw you and my skin

Began to tingle. It began to grow

A silver sheen as if a merman’s sin

Encased the shimmer of a muscle love

With miracles of mesmerizing scales.

You know what love is when it shines above

Your meat and veins and turns to purple, pales

To lavender and mixes with the red,

The scarlet in your arteries because

You are a man, not merman, head

With flowing hair before you break all laws.

My element of blood is challenged through

My soul.  I stroke towards your troubled blue.
