A statue in a mild-beamed grove defies

Reality in every way.  The white

Of marble tells of lies, artistic lies,

Too much perfection in the deep grove light,

Much softer than the cosmos that surrounds

The sculpture.  Even if there were such gods,

They would not be white marble in the grounds

Of deathless stands of oaks.  Divine the squads

Of deities in ancient horti had

The body hair of banging sex but here

The armpit hair is missing which is bad

For truth, the truth of lust both straight and queer.

    With blood in pubic hair upon that throne.

N. B.  AI image generators, including as a last resort Grok which claims to do what others are not free to do, refused to make an image of this famous statue with dark armpit hair added to it.  AI generators, I conclude, are opposed to the truth of life and want false art like previous examples of falsity.

Wait, Wait, WAIT.  Copilot by Microsoft’s Bing made the image for me.  It is still a bit fraudulent because it exaggerates the luxuriousness of the underarm hair.

Then the poet asked Bing Copilot to make the hair look more naturalistic and less like a black furry Brillo pad and in the shape of the way underarm hair actually grows.  Judge for yourself.
