The Forest of Knowledge of Right and Evil

Modern poetry modern verse contemporary poetry contemporary verse modern poem contemporary poem

He emptied out his blood in her.  He gave

Her all of it in gusts.  She felt it through his flesh.

She felt his passion as he did not save

One drop of it for others.  It was worse than fresh.

His meat implanted it inside her womb.

He gave her every gush of it.  No bead

Of it, no pearl held back by gnashing groom,

Was smelled by mother.  It was jewelled seed

Inside the planted dark.  The parents left

Behind, he gave what wasted woman wants.

He gave her meat and blood.  She felt his heft

And future ghosts welled up as scorching haunts.

A kind of death delivered all he had,

Clamped eyelids holding every good and bad.
