The Foolishness of Christian Preaching

The Foolishness of Christian Preaching

1 Corinthians 1:21

I have two favorite men in Bracknell.  Both

Are not what most would think of when they think

Of Christians, but these two, these men, are loath

To say they don’t believe.  There is a whiff

Of heresy inside their brains, but parts

Of Andy and of Martin are the best

That men can show.  These function from the hearts

Of unfeigned goodness.  They say give a rest

To hatred and to prejudice.  Instead

Both practice right and good to all around,

Not just their kin but to the flowerbed

Of people here.  These two are where Christ’s found.

A loveable and loving Christian each

Is not.  They teach through deeds.  They need not preach.
